Teacher’s day is celebrated annually on September 5th in the country of India in line with the great work teachers do in our lives. The event of the day breaks up the monotonous days and it has a very special place in our lives. It is aimed to pay tribute to the work that is done by teachers as well as to the persistence and the support that teachers offer each day. Indeed the date is important, as it is the birthday of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great teacher philosopher, and the second President of India. They’re usually the ones who believe in us when at times we do not believe in ourselves. They compel one to learn not merely in terms of adding knowledge but as a development of the character. Teacher’s Day is much more than a joyful occasion, than a simple celebration, it’s a time to reflect on the importance of teachers for ourselves and the society. It is chance to look at how we can stand beside those individuals, show our care and respect to those people who devoted their lives to shape our future. Today is the perfect opportunity to not only take time to enjoy and rejoice but also to try to make the world a better place and figure out how to express the gratitude in a lasting manner continually.
